What did homming contribute?

“But above all what it brings us is the comprehensiveness of having a lot of tools integrated into the same platform at the end of the day.

And what incorporating technological solutions such as Homming allows us to do is to grow a little faster.

All right, well, I’m Javier Ortega, I’m the founder and CEO of Cale de pie cae.

De pie is a comprehensive student housing service.

We currently provide our service in Seville, although we will soon be in other cities.”

How would you define homming?

“Homming is an application that, to define it as a first word, brings us the ease, brings us ease, agility in communicating with our tenants, but above all what it brings us is the integrality of having a lot of tools integrated into the same platform, so that we forget to have messaging on one site with the tenants, collection of incidents on another, processing, invoicing, bank reconciliation.

Homming brings it all together in a way that allows us to extract a large amount of data from a single platform.

Well, basically I would say, I don’t know if I would say productivity, I could also define it as integration, precisely because of your progress, I met homming with you being one of the first customers, if I’m not mistaken, and I knew the old interface and I have seen how you have been integrating new services such as billing, such as the CRM you have, bank synchronization.

So it allows us to have it all.

So, well, I would almost say that more than productivity, precisely that integration, of course, we used to manage it in a less digital way, at least in terms of management.

Obviously from the inside, our way and our methodology with the tenants remains the same, 100% continuous attention, but it is true that all this must be complemented with a clear management that allows easy communication and management with the tenants.

So, of course, if we go back three or four years, we use an Excel sheet on the one hand to see the payments, and practically the same with many of the communications that we made to the tenants with our own or external CRM where we could communicate with them, WhatsApp groups where the incidents were integrated or reflected, but without the possibility of following them up.

And it is true that now, as I said, all this is integrated in the same application.

Then, we always know where to go when looking for any question, whether it is related to invoicing, customer data, list data or to see if a movement, which day was paid, I don’t even have to go to my bank account, but I go to homming, the day I have reflected the payment, the day the customer has paid.

It is true that today we benefit from not having many solutions, but having all the solutions integrated in one place.”

has your relationship with your customers changed?

“The relationship with clients, obviously, is also a point that has been improved, insofar as my own tenant, who is the one I have to take care of, also knows where to look for all the documentation that is generating our relationship.

You no longer have to call me or send me a message if you want to receive a monthly bill, because you know where you can find it, you know where to pick up a utility bill without having to go to the mail that I sent you a month ago and see if they went over or not in the consumption, because everything is integrated.

It even allows us a very clear traceability, for example, with a function that we use a lot, which is the supply balance, because it tells us, well, the difference between how much, the difference between the consumption made and the contribution made by each tenant.

This allows us to generate a much more transparent and agile relationship with the tenant.

And also, man, prioritizing that everything has a corporate image, which is what Homming allows us to do with our logo, by our colors, so that the tenant always has the feeling that it does not change and that there is no external platform, but that everything remains falls standing.”

What do you think about running a business without the use of technology?

“It falls on its feet has been around for seven years, in other words, it was obviously born in a technological age and we have benefited from many advances and we have never carried it by hand, so to speak.

But as I said, for us, at the end of the day, and what it allows us to incorporate technological solutions such as homming is to grow a little faster and in a more fluid way, which in the end allows us to focus and give importance to the important aspects that are important to us”.
